This is another daughter out of our BJR Lakina family, this heifer is sired by a young sire that is working well in our program. PIE Get R Done 684, the bull that gained respect from cattlemen of all walks of life at the 2008 NWSS in Denver. He's got sensational EPD's and unbelievable phenotype. ATKN 908 is smooth fronted, long sided, easy moving, combined with an impressive hip! This young heifer is a maternal sister to ATKN 804.

An exciting herdsire prospect that offers tremendous thickness, eye appeal, and bone. His 106 MPPA dam is one of the featured donors in our program and a most impressive female to look at. She is a maternal sister to the famed BJR JR 107, while a maternal sister was the top selling bred heifer of the historic Boot Jack Dispersal. The maternal grandam was one of the breed's most respected donors and earned a 108 MPPA in the Boot Jack herd. PIE Get R Done has caused quite a stir with the arrival of his first calves. He offers tremendous performance, eye appeal, and low birth weight in a relatively outcross pedigree.

ATKN 804 has brood cow written all over her yet she wraps up volume and muscle in a very feminine package. We purchased the grandam to 804 in the historic Boot Jack Dispersal; she has lived up to her reputation as a tremendous female producer. At 15 she raised her last natural calf, the dam to 804. With the longevity of her grandam, her dam's MPPA of 104 and 804's weaning ratio of 114 we are expecting to find her in a future donor program.

Our Granddaughter Brianna has been showing her this year as part of her junior project. These maternal sisters have done well for our granddaughters in the show ring. This heifer, like all of her sibs that we are offering in the 2009 Legends of the Fall sale exhibits a gentle disposition. Lots of rib and volume in this heifer , this is a good opportunity to own a Rattler 908 daughter. This heifer will be ready to breed at sale

ATKN 862 is a fall edition of ATKN 910. Our Granddaughter Alison has been showing her this year as part of her junior project. Again, here is a heifer with a great disposition. Atkinson Red Angus has been using the "disposition EPD" for a long time. One of the foundation matrons of our program is the LMG Daorv 841 family. 841, the grandam of ATKN 862 also produced the legendary Forster Cprtop 591(MPPA 119.7)! We tossed around putting 862's dam CCF Daorv 0248 in this sale, quickly all three partners decided that would be a huge mistake. This donor dam consistently produces embryos that produce females and herd sire prospects that will work in any environment. The donor dam stays so that we can continue to offer females "to build our herd".

ATKN 910 is the most exciting female we have ever produced. Her gentle disposition has earned her the nickname "princess" by our young friend Samantha Reece. She comes from proven producers on both the top and bottom side of her pedigree. Look at her from any angle; she is smooth fronted, plenty of volume and muscle, powerful hipped with a sound leg. 910 will make a great show heifer for a young junior. We are retaining ½ embryo interest in this young heifer simply because we believe in what she will do once in production. Take her home and show her then bring her back to us we will flush her for you! |
