AXTELL GUNSLINGER 801

Reg #1248141

Gunslinger was our choice to carry on our Gambler line. He will add more muscle than his sire and is backed by two generations of top cows here. His dam is currently eleven years old and still holds condition well and is very sound. His grand dam was productive in our herd to thirteen years old and is also the dam of AXTELL BANDO CHF 26L.

AXTELL PAY DAY 8205
Reg #1248153

Pay Day is out of our 205 cow (See AX LANA 205 on our cow page). She is a small cow that does everything right. 8205's sire is BJR Pay Day 1528, who is a Make My Day out of Cliff Haugen of Bootjack's favorite cow. Pay Day 8205 is a real calving ease sire that should produce excellent females. We've lined up a bunch of good cows in his pedigree and he has BJR Rambler 5162 twice in his pedigree. He will sire some productive females.

Beckton Cody T008 K2
Reg. #1178303

Beckton Cody T008 K2 was our pick of bulls at the 2008 Beckton Sale.He has proven himself to add performance and fleshing ability. On top of that, the calves have a very nice type, beeing moderate and stout. He blends calving ease and performance while maintaining thickness. He passes on his excellent disposition to his calves.

BJR Gambler 027
Reg #: 744473

Red Angus Cattle in CO

Gambler is one of the top sons of maternal and udder leader, Rambler 5162. He is also one of the heaviest muscled Rambler sons to be found. The 2001 BJR sale catalog stated that he could be the replacement to Rambler, we feel that he is. His dam, Lakina 002-0142.was a proven donor cow who also produced top donor VDAR Lakina 406 and former ABS sire BJR Topper 5241. Gambler is producing perfect uddered females and his daughters have produced most of our heaviest calves over the past two years.

Pedigree: BJR Rambler 5162 x BJR Lakina 002-0142 (BJR Excel-A-Tor)
SEMEN AVAILABLE ($20/Straw - $30/Certificate)

Beckton Dominor T754 ZC
Reg #: 1179046

Red Angus Cattle in CO

Dominor T754 is a linebred Dominor bull that traces to Dominor Z E401 three times. He is a calving ease bull that produces much more performance than his epd's suggest. He also excels in marbling, where he is ranked as one of the top marbling bulls in the Red Angus breed. T754 is a maternal brother to the popular Beckton Nebula P707.

Beckton Dominor T754 Pedigree - (Beckton Dominor ZC M919 x Beckton Epic K1 K863)

Other Bulls with no pictures:

Beckton Epic W690 C4
#1332304
Pedigree - Beckton Epic R350K x Beckton Clifftop T3 N800

Comments - Epic is moderate in frame and is producing some of our top calves. They are typically moderate, long and show a lot of muscle. They tend to be very correct in their structure and have good feet. We are excited about this sire.

Axtell Cody 9205
#1294101
Pedigree - Beckton Cody T008 K2 x AX Lana 205 (BJR Gambler 027)

Comments - 9205 is very deep bodied and is out of our Lana 205 cow. He will add middle and performance to his calves. We are trying to increase the influence of our Lana 205 cow in our herd and he will do that while increasing fleshing ability and we think his daughters will be excellent.

BJR Canyon Chief 956
Reg. #682371

We acquired semen rights of this bull at the 2008 Lonker Dispersal.   When looking through the Lonker cow herd, his daughters stuck out as moderate framed, easy fleshing females.   We really like the old Bootjack pedigree being a son of RCN Canyon Chief out of a top producing Excel-A-Tor dam.

Beckton Nebula S068 P
Reg #: 1118531

We purchased Nebula from Beckton Stock Farm in 2007. He was brought into our herd for use on heifers, as well as reducing the mature size of our cow herd, while adding muscle and marbling. He is a very sound bull in his structure. He started out small with a 86 Birth Ratio in the Beckton herd, grew to a 97 Weaning ratio and continued to improve with a 101 yearling ratio while having a 145 Marbling ratio.
