Estonia has probably produced more high profile calves than any other cow in our herd. Her best-known calf is GMRA EBV 266, who was the high selling Red Angus bull at Midland Bull Test in 1993, selling to Westphal Red Angus for $7500. EBV 266 was later leased to Accelerated Genetics for worldwide semen sales. Estonia also produced a full brother to 266 named GMRA Mountain II 485, who sold to Mabee Red Angus for $3400. She also raised a Rambo 502 daughter that sold to Chicken Creek Farms at the 1997 NILE as a bred heifer for $3500. Estonia never produced a calf that was below average or, for that matter, near average. In fact, she has an average weaning ratio of 107 on her 11 calves.

Lakota is the thickest most heavily muscled cow we have ever raised. She is not only easy fleshing, but she is also one of the most productive cows in GMRA history. Her first five bull calves averaged over $3200 each, including GMRA Monu 362, who sold at Midland Bull Test to Westphal Red Angus for $6500. Lakota has been a part of our embryo program for some time. In 1994 we sold one of her embryo offspring, GMRA Lakota 458, to Accelerated Genetics for their international semen market. Most recently we sold a large embryo package to Argentina that included 30 embryos from Lakota 912. Every daughter in production is very fertile, raising stout calves, and all have picture perfect udders. Lakota 912 has an average weaning ratio of over 114 on her first 6 calves.
