LCC Blockanna NA 515 was a purchase from the Leachman Cattle Co. "The Last Roundup Dispersal Sale 2003".   Throughout a breed's history, a handful of females rise to the very top and become legends.   The Blockanna family has done just that. This is one of the top revenue earning cow families in the Red Angus breed as of today. Blockanna Na 515's beginning started with her namesake Blockana 609, a 1959 model. With forty-nine years of the Blockanna lineage in production, "this is a sure true test of time".   Blockanna Na 515 combines a lot of traits that is right. She comes in a very easy keeping beautiful correct conformation package, moderate frame, with a square, stoutly made hip and rump structure.   If you like clean front ended cattle that flare into that wedge shape heavy rear end, you will like Blockanna Na 515.   She is on target for the beef industry's need for today's market. With more emphases placed on lower maintenance, better-feed efficiency Blockanna Na 515 certainly fits this target. Gene Star testing was done on Blockanna NA 515 in 2004 with the result being one gene marker for marbling and four gene markers for tenderness. Her Dam, Leachman Blockana 7815 (298886), is a beautiful daughter of the great EBV 3531. She has unsurpassed power and muscle composition with a performance recorded of 107.9 MPPA. Blockanna 7815 was a top donor for the Leachman program for many years and the donor dam of the $19,500 LCC EBV Chiefdom 1070B.   She sold in the 1998 Cow Harvest Sale to Federico Benegas Lynch of Argentina for $18,000.00.   The sire of Blockanna Na 515 is none other than the great carcass bull Beckton Lancer F 442.   Lancer F442 (533603) is one of the breed's premier marbling and muscle bulls with moderate frame and fleshing ability.

LCC Rebella NA 123 was a purchase from Leachman Cattle Co. " The Last Roundup Dispersal Sale in 2003 by Hust Cattle Co. Her EPD package is nothing short of outstanding and her phenotype is what top breeders are striving to produce. Rebella NA 123 has a nice balance of thickness and width of body with a beautiful straight top line on a moderate frame. Her breeding combination represents pure power and performance while maintaining a MPPA of 114.3.   She scanned a 5.57 IMF, with a Rea scan of 11.53 and a Fat scan of 0.17. Genetically few can match her EPD combination for CED, WW, YW, TM, CEM, and STAY all in the top 1% to 5% in the breed.   Rebella Na 123 calves have all been in the top end of the Hust program with growth. They are very moderate in frame size. A heifer, HUS MS Rebella R334, sold to Shepard Settlement Farm for $7,700.00 and ½ interest in HUS Chief Sequoia R336 sold to Rafter H Ranch, Allan Havick for $10,000.00.   Her dam, LLC Rebas Robin LA 969, is a stout performance female with a MPPA of 105.3 and is a maternal milk machine. Robin LA 969 is a direct daughter of the influential donor matron KRN REBA'S ROBIN the dam of the $50,000.00 LCC Grand Canyon 1244G and the $180,000.00 LCC Major League A502M.   LCC Rebella NA 123's sire, Beckton Julian GG B571, combines a lot of great traits all in one package.   B571 gives low birth, good growth, low maintenance, and high stayability with strong carcass traits making him desirable to use in any program. If one studies B571 EPDs and does a comparison, to our knowledge no other sire in the history of the Red Angus breed has achieved his accomplishments of top1% for CED, BW, ME, CEM, Stay, with top 3.5% for REA with a high accuracy. She is above average on WW, YW, Milk, TM, ME, HPG, CEM and Stay.   Bloxy NA 436 was added to the Hust donor program as of January of 2008 with a successful first flush of 16 grade one embryos. Bloxy Na 436 is on target for today's cattle industry with her low maintenance and moderate size.   This is another cow family that has stood the test of time for over thirty years in the Leachman Cattle Co. program starting with her namesake DRM Chico Bloxy, a 1970 model. Bloxy NA 436's dam, LCHMN Bloxy C1176, was a moderate framed, problem free Heavenly 8141 daughter with a perfect udder. She produced the $21,000.00 past trait leader LCC ON Target 1016E.   LCHMN Bloxy C1176 was a prolific donor for the Leachman program. Her career performance recorded of 102.6 Mppa was also quite impressive. Her dam, Lman Bloxy 9038 was a powerful Copper Top Chief 301 daughter who finished her career at Leachman's with a 105.0 Mppa and produced over $44,000.00 worth of progeny. Bloxy NA 436, sire is none other than Lman King Rob 8621 (335067) the "King Of Blow And Go."   No other bull has dominated a breed quite like King Rob has.

If you study you history lesson you will see he was a trait leader for milk and stayability. Now that's putting milk, fertility and longevity in to your cow herd. Today King Rob remains in the top 15% of the breed for YW, Milk, TM, HPG, CEM, and Stay.   When you consider King Rob is eighteen years of age.... this is some powerful static's!

LJC Julianne 325 is a big impressively thick and capacious made female on a moderate frame. She scanned with a 6.65 IMF 9.56 Rea and Fat of 0.16.

Her EPD combination for CED, YW STAY, MARB, REA ranks her in the top 1% to 5% in the breed. Julianne 325 exemplifies the breed's movement toward superior carcass genetics and she uniquely combines the antagonistic traits of Marbling and Ribeye area with a .33 Marb EPD and a .25 Rea EPD.    Julianne 325 was one of the R.A. Brown Ranch's top donor cows. She has been flushed six times giving an average of seven high quality embryos per flush. Hust Cattle Co. purchased Julianne 325 from the R. A. Brown Bull & Female 2007 sale. She was bred by the Croissant Red Angus program. The Croissant's have a balanced trait selection program with a "No Fads/No Extremes" philosophy. We are very pleased to have the opportunity to add Julianne 325 to the Hust donor program. This pedigree reads like the "who's who for carcass and calving ease with the Beckton Lancer T A664 (sire of Beckton Lancer F442 T) on the bottom side and Beckton Julian GG B 571 on the topside.   Both Lancer T A664 (91 model) and Beckton Julian GG B 571(92 model) were strong for both marbling and rib-eye muscle area, they were both below average for birth and above average for weaning, gainability, yearling and were low maintenance cattle.   As you can see by the birth date on these two old boys, history does repeat itself. This is two of the hottest pedigree in the Red Angus breed today. Semen on B 571 is very scarce and when it is available... it is very expensive. His legacy will live on through his sons and daughters.

She was flushed this spring at Hust giving a return of 15 good embryos.    Progeny from Jolene grossed   $16,250.00 in revenue sales in the Brown family's 2007 sale. Jolene 301N was bred by Hueftle Cattle Co. While in the Hueftle program she produced a son HXC Big Dawg 5515R that was a 2006 sale topper selling to Tim & Julie Shick, MT. This awesome cow is sure to catch the eye of anyone who likes moderate framed, wide based, attractive cattle with great disposition. Jolene 301N ranks in the top 3% for CED, 8% for WW 2% for YW 10% for ME, 1% for STAY, 24% for MARB, 19% for REA. When you start mentioning that an animal is in the top 1% for any given trait, those categories place that animal in a pretty select group. Her sire, Beckton Julian GG B571, fits into this elite category for two different traits, CED, STAY, along with the top 2% for BW, 3% for ME, and top 3% for REA. It is going to get a lot harder to come by these good daughters of Julian B571. Now deceased and little to no semen available, Julian GG B571 genetics are a rare and precious commodity.
