We purchased LCC No Equal A508L in the 2002 Leachman Sale to bring in the low birth he offered, yet keeping a substantial amount of growth in our herd.  We liked the powerful maternal side of his dam, also.  In 2003, he sired the heaviest weaning bull calf of our crop.  We are looking forward to having his daughters in production in the next year.

Heavens Canyon 331 is a son of the now deceased Heaven Sake, known for his growth.  His dam is one of the best daughters of Canyon and is a maternal sister to the legendary King Rob.  He boasts a weaning wt and yearling wt in the top 5% and 1% of the breed.  What a great combination of maternal and growth he has to offer.  A flushmate brother sold at Shamrock Nook as high seller for $12,000.

DZA CQ Chateau ET 333 is a very stout made meat machine bull on a moderate frame size.  His donor dam Forster Copperqueen 7172, continues to produce these thick correct made progeny year after year for us.  We chose this Glacier Chateau 744 son of hers to breed a group of cows for us this spring.   We had two other matings out of this flush that, were likewise just as thick and attractive as DZA 333.  One was a heifer featured on our Females page, the other a bull working in the Paschane herd in Ione, CA.

DZA Precision ET 419 caught our eye as a calf this spring and has continued to appeal to us as a yearling.  We were very excited to see the product of this embryo purchase from the Gallaghers sale in 2002.  He is a direct son out of the donor cow BJR Blockana 502-5185.  Without question progeny from the Blockana family have been some of the most popular cattle of the breed as she consistently transmits power and performance to all of her progeny.  The sire of  this bull, Sodak Precision 7408-97 traces to the elite carcass sire, GAR Precision 1680 whose sons continue to dominate the sire summaries for all carcass traits.  When ultrasounded, DZA Precision ET 419 had a whopping  adj. ribeye measurement of 15.3, his marbling score wasn't too shabby either at 4.22.  Calves will be on the ground spring of 2006!
