ZHolistics was founded by myself, Dr. Ana Falk, DVM. I am a veterinarian who always wanted to be a veterinarian specially a Complementary Medicine Veterinarian. It is pretty challenging to become a veterinarian and I feel so fortunate to be able to do what I love. My patients give me so much, they make my life so meaningful,the least I can do is help as many pets as I can, and share with my fellow veterinarians that complementary medicine is not Budu .

When holistic medications are used as part of a comprehensive medical approach they can bring great benefit to the patient and improve conditions that one modality alone is not able to.

Dr. Ana Falk graduated from Veterinary School in Ecuador in 2000. While going to Veterinary School she also learned Classical Homeopathy, and after a 3 year program in the prestigious Escuela Medica Homeopatica Ecuatoriana (EMHE) received her degree in Homeopathy in 2000.

After moving to the United States she spent 7 months at The Veterinary Teaching Hospital at the University of Tennessee working mainly with dogs and cats with an emphasis on Internal Medicine and Oncology. She then received her full certification in the US and Iowa Veterinary license. In 2005 she completed the Professional Course in Veterinary Homeopathy with Dr. Richard Pitcairn (author of Natural Health for Dogs and Cats). In 2006 she joined the Chi Institute to learn Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. She practices traditional and holistic medicine in Iowa City, IA
